The Chandler Unified School District cordially invites you to an evening presentation:
“Demystifying the application process with highly selective colleges”
This presentation will provide information about what families should know now as they begin to consider highly
selective colleges as an option. Highly selective colleges and universities have many applicants, low admission
rates and use a holistic approach when making admission decisions.
Steve McLaughlin, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Admissions will address the topics of admissions trends,
what highly selective schools look for, how decisions are made, and how to best prepare at this stage of
your high school career. Mr. McLaughlin has been with Duke University for 16 years and is the Admissions Officer who
works with students from Arizona.
