PRO + NOUNS
FOR + NOUNS = Pronouns are words that take
the place of nouns in sentences.
Examples of pronouns are words like me, he,
she , we, us and it.

Quick Review :
Number: Pronouns can be either singular or
plural.
Examples: he is a singular pronoun
we is a plural pronoun
Case: There are three cases of pronouns:
subject, object and possessive.

Subject Pronouns:
Subject pronouns – subject pronouns are
used as the subject of a sentence or as a
predicate pronoun after a linking verb.
Pronouns are said to be in the subject case
when the pronoun is the subject of the
sentence.
Example: Susan B. Anthony believed in equal
rights. She worked with others for the right
to vote.

Subject Pronouns:
The subject case of a pronoun should also be
used as predicate pronouns.
Predicate
pronouns follow linking verbs and rename the
subject of the sentence.
The most common linking verbs are: is, am,
are, was, were, been, has been, have been,
can be, will be, could be, and should be
Example: Joey said it was he who lost the
keys.
