1.After some verbs, e.g., forget, learn, need, decide ,want, hope we use
the infinitive of another verb:
I learned to play the guitar in the holidays.
2.After some verbs, e.g., stop, practise, enjoy, give up mind, miss, keep,
finish, we use the –ing form:
I stopped playing table tennis because it was getting dark.
3.After other verbs, e.g., hate, love, start, we can use the infinitive or –
ing form:
I started playing at nine o’clock. or I started to play at nine o’clock.

即是可以说:Every one of the girls likes the teacher.
就不可以说:Everyone of the girls likes the teacher。
