Verbs can tell what the
action will be in the future
or what the action was in
the past. Verbs that tell
about the past end with –
ed. Verbs that tell about the
future will have the helping
word “will” before the verb
in the sentence.
When you use a verb to tell about
the past, you will usually find clue
words in the sentence like these:
 yesterday
 last week
 last year
When you use a verb to tell about
the future, you will usually find
clue words in the sentence like

 tomorrow
 next week
 next year
