How to say
I do/ I am doing
Actions in the present.
- ir verbs


Most verbs in French end in –er in the
infinitive. But some end in – ir.
You also follow 3 steps with forming – ir
verbs.
STEP 1 First find out who is
doing the verb.










STEP 2 Find the stem > remove
the -ir




remplir ( to fill in)

STEP 3 – Add the correct ending to the
stem, depending on who the person is
who is doing the verb.







Il/ elle/ on + it
Nous + issons
Vous + issez
Ils/ elles + issent
 je finis
 tu finis

 ils finissent

these are the 3rd group of verbs.
It is a much smaller group but they follow
3 steps too.
