Repaso del imperfecto
● The imperfect tense in Spanish is used to discuss
actions in the past that:
● Occurred repeatedly
● I went to school every day
● or occurred over an extended period of time
● I used to dance often
** The imperfect tense implies that the past action
did not have a definite beginning or end
● The imperfect can also be used to talk about:
● Feelings or conditions
●
My sister was sad
● or setting the stage for another past event. It’s also
always used to tell time, weather, and age!
● I was walking to school when I saw my friend
Una historia en el imperfecto
● Remember how last class I told you a short story
about my childhood using –ar verbs in the imperfect?
Today, I’m going to tell you a longer story using –ar,
-er, and –ir verbs. Listen carefully to see how much
you can understand! The story is called “el
estudiante perfecto”
● You do not need to take notes during the story, just
listen! There will be pictures on the screen to help
you understand.
