For actions which happened in the past,
but we don’t mention exactly when.
Examples

has moved to Port Said.
●They have painted the whole house.
For actions which started in the
past and continued up to the
present.
Examples:
●We have had this car since September.
●They have painted the whole house.
We use the present perfect tense
for recently completed actions.
Examples:

●They have already eaten out.
• I finished my
homework an
hour ago.
• He went to the
club
yesterday.
• Mother made a
cake last
Friday.

• He has
already been
to the club.

made a cake
yet.
