PRESENTE INDICATIVO VS PRESENTE DE
SUBJUNTIVO
INDICATIVE MODE (EL MODO INDICATIVO):
 The
indicative tense is the most used tense.
Most commonly you use the indicative tense
to express:
 action
at the present
 a state of being
 a habitual action
 an occurrence in the (very) near future
 an action that occurred in the past
 straightforward statements
 asking questions.
EXAMPLES: ¿EN QUE TIEMPO ESTÁN?
Esto era muy sencillo.
 Las niñas cantaban villancicos.
 ¿Vas a Toledo este verano?
 Mi mamá compró un carro nuevo.
 La familia viajará mañana.

SUBJUNCTIVE MOOD (EL MODO SUBJUNTIVO):

It presents the idea that the action of the verb is
regarded as unreal in some way or…
Impossible
 Improbable
 Desired
 Request

Discusses potential or hypothetical events, or
events portrayed subjectively.
 Also it can be used to show emotion, commands
opinion, or influence of one person over another.

