A blue giant is a massive star that has exhausted the hydrogen
fuel in its core and left the main sequence. Blue giants have a
surface temperature of around 30,000 K
Typically, giant stars have radii between 10 and 100 solar
radii and luminosities between 10 and 1,000 times that of the
sun.
so a massive star uses up all the hydrogen fuel. it
expands and becomes a red giant. and once the red
giant has used up all of that fuel it condenses into a
blue giant.

years), and theories predict that most of them will
end their lives as supernovae
