Women in Islam
•Men and women are made of the same soul.
“Indeed the noblest of you on the sight of God is the
most pious.” Qur’an 40:40
“Whoever does right, whether male or female, all
such will anter the garden.” Qur’an 16:97
“They (your wives) are your garment and you are a
garment for them.” Qur’an 2:187
Women in Islam
•Islamic law makes no demand that women should
confine themselves to household duties.
•Women have been given to right to work like men,
however they don’t have to work for living.
•A believing woman has always had the right to own
and manage her own property.
•Men are not allowed to treat women with disrespect,
to gaze at them, to touch them, to spread rumors
about their chastity without four witnesses.

In an Islamic Society, Women have the following rights:

The right and duty to obtain education.
 The right to have their own property.
 The right to work to earn money.
 Equality of reward for equal deeds.
 The right to express their opinion and be heard.
 The right to provisions from the husband for all her
needs.
