Healthy Teeth!
What causes tooth decay
• Everyone gets bacteria (germs) in their mouth.
• Bacteria (germs) and bits of food build up to
make a layer of stuff on our teeth called plaque.
• If you eat sugary food or drink sugary drinks the
germs in the plaque feed on the sugar and they
make acid.
• The acid then attacks your teeth for about 30
minutes during this time your teeth get weaker.
• If you have sugar lots of times in the day your
teeth will decay.
