 Search engine optimization (SEO)
is the process of affecting the
visibility of a website or a web page
in a search engine's unpaid
results—often referred to as
"natural," "organic," or "earned"
results.

Page Rank (often denoted PR) is a quantity defined by Google that provides a
rough estimate of the overall importance of a web page. Many factors
influence Page Rank, thus it is a poor indicator of how well a page ranks for
particular keywords.
 SERPs = Search Engine Results Page
 SERPs is not the same as pagerank, a site with high page rank might not rank high
on the results as compared to one with a lower page rank.
 SERPs are determined by a number of signals which includes:
 PR of link source
 Number of links
 Speed of links accumulation
 Types of links
 Most SEOs believe “Content is King” !!!
 Many signals that affects rankings
 Website that wishes to rank must have relevant content
