Hammerhead Shark by Luis
The largest great
Hammerhead was 20
feet long. They are
mostly found in
California, Australia,
Mexico and New
England. They eat fish
and plankton. The
head looks like a
hammer so that is how
it got its name.
Sea Otters by Derrik
Sea otters live on rocky
coasts. They spend lots
of time cleaning
themselves. They have
flippers and fur. They
are mammals. They eat
crabs and shellfish.
They can be up to 4
feet long. Oil spills are
dangerous for sea
otters.
Dolphins by Sunshine
Dolphins live in seas
and oceans all over the
world except the Arctic.
It eats octopus and
squid. A color is dark
gray and black and light
gray on the sides. A
dolphin’s size is 12 feet
long. Dolphins are
smart and they are
gentle. The dolphin has
a blowhole so they can
breathe.
Jellyfish by Mahelet
Jellyfish live in the coral
reef. They have
tentacles. The tentacles
help it catch its prey. It
stings fish and then it
eats it. The colors are
pale blue, brown,
orange or white. The
jellyfish’s body is 7 feet
wide. Their tentacles
can be 120 feet long.
The tentacles have
stingers in them.
Octopus by Sunshine
Octopus live in the
ocean. An octopus has
8 arms. They can be
gray, black, red, blue,
brown or baby blue. An
octopus grows up to 4
feet. It eats fish, crabs
and shrimp. One
octopus can lay more
than 50,000 eggs.
Whales by Aaron
The whale lives in the
open sea. Whales use
its tail for power. All
whales have blubber.
Whales use blowholes
to breathe. Grey whales
are 73 feet. Whales
don’t have all five sense
so they use special
sounds to locate where
their foods are.

Tuna live in the open
sea. They have fins
and a tail to help them
move. They have gills
to help them breathe.
The color is blue. The
size is 13 feet. They
have a special gill to
help them breathe and
if they don’t breathe,
they die. They eat
prawns and squid.
Sea Turtle by Aaron
Sea turtles live in warm
ocean water. Almost all
sea turtles have a hard
covering. The front and
back flippers stick out of
the shell. Some sea
turtles are green with
brown shells. The size
is 2 to 6 feet. Female
sea turtles lay their
eggs on the beach.
Sea turtles eat
seaweed, fish, crabs
and jellyfish.
Orca Whales by

The orca whale lives in
the open sea. The orca
is hard and the shape is
round. The parts of the
body are flippers and
flukes. The colors are
white and black. It is 30
feet big. It eats fish,
seals and penguins and
even bigger whales.
They use their teeth to
eat the food.
Coral Reef
Clownfish by Katalina
A clownfish swims from
place to place. A
clownfish lives on sea
anemones. The
anemone has stinging
tentacles but it doesn’t
hurt the clownfish. The
colors are orange, white
and black. The
clownfish eats little tiny
planktons.
Butterfly Fish by Thu Huyen
The butterfly fish
lives in coral reefs. It
looks like it has a
black dot and white
outside. It has
stripes. It has
scales and fins. It is
5 inches long. It
eats live food of all
kinds.
Corals by Jenny
All the corals live in a
reef. Some corals look
like they have tentacles
and some look like they
have some little stars
on them. Some of them
look like bubbles. The
star coral lives in the
coral reef. Some corals
are brain coral, star
coral, sea fan and
staghorn coral.
