The JUDICIARY
 The judiciary controls over the courts and brings
justice to the community through punishing in
criminal cases and judgments in public cases. The
judiciary - which includes all judges and benches; is
the third, independent arm of government.

 The Magistrate Court of Western Australia has
multiple list located around the State to deal with:
 Criminal- offence-based matters (eg. murder,
assaults, burglary, arson.)
 Civil- claims for dept or damage and non-offence
based matters. (eg. Trespassing, defamation,
environmental
Family Court
 The family court in WA is located in Perth 150 Terrace
Rd. the family court includes:
 Marriage
 Divorce
 Child issues
 Family issues
 Adoption
District Court
 The district court is between Magistrate Court and
the Supreme Court in WA.
 It deals with serious criminal offence including
sexual assaults, theft, drug offences.
 It also controls public rights up to $750,00 and
unlimited influence in tilte for damage for personal
injuries.
Supreme Court
 The Supreme Court is the highest sate court with
criminal and civil substances.
 The Supreme court is divided in 2 sections: General
Division and the Court of Appeal.
 The General Division deals with serious criminal
charges eg. Murder, armed robbery, drug
enforcements.
 The court of Appeal hears appeals from single judge
of Supreme Court and lower Court.
High Court
 The High Court is in Canberra (NSW or ACT) on
Terrance Rd.
 The High Court is the highest court of all in Australia,
they make the final decisions. They have the rights
to interrupt the common law of the whole of
Australia.
What is a Tribunals
 A Tribunals is another word for court but it isn't part
of the regular legal system. Worldwide community
wishes to hold hearings relating to genocide, acts of
war, and other events.
What is an Appeal
 An appeal is a higher court for a problem for a
decision of a lower court.
higher court to review a case from a lower court and
bring there way up to the court room.
What is a Court Personnel
• A Court Personnel doesn't include
lawyers in an arranged before a judge.
-Judge
is who records follow the law and collect facts
-Court Reporter
is a stenographer who types down what people say in the court room.
-Jury
is a group of people who collects the facts
-defense council
is a criminal defense lawyer who specialize in the defense of people.
Witness
is someone that get evidences or proof for the person is guilty or not guilty
