Dance/Movement Therapy
Dance/movement therapy is the
psychotherapeutic use of movement to further
the emotional, cognitive, physical and social
integration of the individual. It is an embodied
approach predicated on the empiricallysupported concept of bi-directional mind/body
integration. It is biopsychosocial, informed by
systems theory, and various theories of therapy.
