Marilyn Monroe, born Norma Jeane
Mortenson, was born on June 1st, 1926.
In Las Angeles, California.

Before Norma Jeane
was Marilyn Monroe,
she modeled for
certain companies.
She also took a few
“artistic” pictures for
money when she
was broke.
The first well received movie Monroe played in was called The “Asphalt
Jungle” made in 1950. Her “Dumb Blonde” characters were in such
movies as, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, How To Mary a Millionaire, Some
Like It Hot, and The Seven Year Itch. In real life, when Marilyn wasn’t on
screen acting stupid, she was an extremely smart, fast reacting person.
“She can definitely hold her own in a political Argument.” stated Peter
Lawford, friend of Monroe’s
The very famous scene

Did you know: Norma Jeane changed her name to
Marilyn Monroe, because it wasn’t Hollywood
enough? The First name came from actress, Marilyn
Miller, and she took her mother’s name, Monroe.
Marilyn Monroe, died of a suspected O.D. on August 5th, 1962,
in her small home in Brentwood, Las Angeles, California. She
was only 36 when she died. Since her death, there has been a
lot of contemplation, suicide, or murder? Many people
believe Monroe was Murdered, because when her stomach
was pumped, there was a very little amount of Chloral
Hydrate, or Nembutal (the drug suspected to be used in the
overdose) in her stomach, barely enough to overdose on.
Many people think that she committed suicide because she
had already overdosed on sleeping pills many times before,
why not again?

"I'm selfish, impatient and a
little insecure. I make
mistakes, I am out of control
and at times hard to
handle. But if you can't
handle me at my worst,
then you sure as hell don't
deserve me at my best."

Every night, she
loved to put
drugs in a glass
of wine. She
had a terrible
drug addiction,
which was a
suspicion of her
death.
"I believe that everything happens for a
reason. People change so that you can
learn to let go, things go wrong so that
you appreciate them when they're right,
you believe lies so you eventually learn
to trust no one but yourself, and
sometimes good things fall apart so
better things can fall together."

I like this
quote
because it
is all about
life and
how
amazing it
is. It makes
me
wonder
how
someone
who said
something
like this
could
even think
about
suicide.
"This life is what you make it. Not matter what, you're
going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But
the good part is you get to decide how you're going
to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they'll act like it
anyway. But just remember, some come, some go.
The ones that stay with you through everything they're your true best friends. Don't let go of them. Also
remember, sisters make the best friends in the world.
As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. And babe,
I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all
of them are going to break your heart, but you can't
give up because if you give up, you'll never find your
soul mate. You'll never find that half who makes you
whole and that goes for everything. Just because you
fail once, doesn't mean you're gonna fail at
everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always,
always believe in yourself, because if you don't, then
who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your
chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because
life's a beautiful thing and there's so much to smile
about."

I picked Marilyn Monroe for three
main reasons.
-she was misunderstood
-She died mysteriously
-and she is one of the historic
people I love to research on. My
background knowledge on her
helped out in the research too.
-She is a woman that only accepts
the best qualities in life.
