What has the NTA delivered and
supported in workforce terms so far?
Increased the numbers working in

in 2002 to 10,628 in 2005. Progress professional development
is being made towards achieving the (CPD) and leadership &
new revised target of 11,000.

Substance misuse workers should have to demonstrate
competency on a regular basis and have a clear qualification
structure. This will create parity with other professions who
deal with vulnerable adults
