Conclusions
 An efficient, convenient and sustainable transportation system is a key
element to any plans for future economic prosperity.
 As part of our program for economic revitalization, we have embarked on a
comprehensive transportation investment plan for Chinese Taipei, that
covers both urban and intercity transportation.
 We have budget a further NT$500 billion in the next 4 years to expand and
speed up the promotion of public construction( 50% in the transportation
sector), and we expect to create 180,000 more job opportunities through
such expenditures.
 Furthermore, the comprehensive transportation investment plan will
contribute an 0.68% increase in GDP in 2009, with continued positive
effects well into the future.
