STATUS OF THE CARDS





24 cards were used for the Eudet measurements
+ 2 static card left to DESY
45 PCB produced and 30 mounted, unused cards
will help us to test future hardware solutions
Cards not fixed with the “diode problem” didn’t
affect results for Eudet
Reliability of the read-out was tested by Antoine :
18000 cycles during 30 hours without any errors
Noise level of 10-4 T during calibration has still to
be checked

CORRECTIVE ACTIONS AND OPTIMIZATIONS

Specifications of the card have to be revised in order
to improve the noise level:








Current source (shared or separated)
Optimized current value to obtain the best SNR have to be
tune according to the measurement range and the needed
sensibility
Voltage reference (accuracy and stability )
Correct the charge pump circuit of the ADC (diode problem)
Increase the stability of the crystal (ADC) (by adding passives
components or replace it by another )
Temperature monitoring (accurate but with an offset)
New schematic and layout will be soon realized
Some new cards will be produced and tested

PROPOSAL FOR FUTURE EVOLUTIONS


Capitalize our experience to get a perfect basic
tool for magnetic measurement is our main
objective. Then keep moving forward on the
magnetic field sensor
For instance by adding some functionality like :



PCB mounted “Cube” for the probe positioning
LabVIEW tools for B-sensor or any kind of visual
interface (To easily handle and configure the cards)
Wireless interface (wireless USB) for telemetry
