Concept: How do I make a good moral decision?
MORAL DECISION MAKING is about choosing actions that show our love for God,
others and ourselves.
CONSCIENCE is the inner voice that can guide us in making good moral decisions.
Our conscience is like our moral compass, directing us in our moral decision making.
Chapter 2: Making Moral Choices
A well formed conscience is a conscience that is educated so that it is able to
recognize what is good and then direct us to act on that good.
To determine the morality of an act, think:
1. What is the “object” of the act?
2. What is the “nature” of the act itself?
3. What is the “intention” of the act?
4. What are the acts’ consequences?
