Character is essential to Leadership
Leadership is the art and science of achieving desired effectiveness
(Competence) by making decisions (Courage), developing people
(Commitment), creating teamwork (Community), serving needs (Caring), and
inspiring action (Communicating) to realize the leader’s vision (Character).

Character includes the leader’s core values and beliefs, the leader’s ethical
and moral conduct, and the leader’s level of regard for people.
-- Leader’s character directly influences the capability of an organization to
achieve desired effectiveness in performance.
-- Character is the most essential aspect of leadership: Personal example,
Accountability, Integrity, Determination, Humility, Positive Attitude, and
Servant leadership.
