INTEGRATED STRUGGLE

Today, conservation of human health, the
environment and biodiversity has come to
the fore and it has become obligatory to
take into account the agro ecosystem and
sustainable agricultural production in
struggle with pests.
DEFINITION
The use of all techniques and methods in a
harmony in order to keep population of
the pests under the economic damage
level by considering all the factors
involved in the population changes of the
pest species with the environment.
AIM
Increasing vegetable production in
terms of quality and quantity
 Obtaining healthy herbal products
 Protecting natural enemies and
natural environment

Reducing the use of pesticide and
preventing the environmental damage
caused by the pesticides
 Checking fields, vineyards and
orchards periodically

TARGET
The use of all of the struggle
techniques and the methods in a
harmony with each other in order
to keep the pest population under
the economic damage level.
ADVANTAGES
Abundant, high quality and healthy
production is obtained.
 Disease factor and the pests’ creation
of the resistance against the pesticides
are prevented.

Disinfection is economical as it is
kept at the least number.
 The harmful effect of the pesticides
against the human health is
minimized.


STRUGGLE
Alternative struggle methods like;
 Biological struggle,
 Biotechnical methods,
 Durable species,
 Genetic struggle,

Mechanical and physical struggle,
 Cultural measures are given the priority.
 In the struggle with weeds and diseases that
cannot be taken under control with these
struggle methods, chemicals which are less
harmful to human and environmental health are
applied.


REQUIRED

Environmentally friendly specific
drugs which have the low side-effect
to the natural enemies, people and
environment are used at the lowest
dose and at the time when the natural
enemies are damaged at the least rate.

