NATURAL RESOURCES:
 Nevada's natural resources are its mineral deposits (copper, mercury,
tungsten, gold, silver), wildlife, and beautiful scenery.
 Gold mining in Nevada, a state of the United States, is a major industry,
and one of the largest sources of gold in the world. Nevada currently
mines 79% of all the gold in the United States, which is equivalent to
5,640,000 troy ounces (2009)
 The Comstock was the first important silver-mining district in the United
States, and its discovery stimulated a great deal of prospecting for silver
across the Great Basin area of the United States. The resulting silver
rush led to many other silver discoveries in Nevada.
