Location
• This region’s major cities Houston, Phoenix, El
Paso
• land forms and resources are mountains, mines
and minerals,
• South of Midwest and west regions, to the west
of the northeast and the Southeast regions.
• 29 degrees N longitude 95 degrees W latitude
People chose to live in the region is because the of
the warm climate.
Place
• Customs, religions, ethnic groups in region are
Catholic, Lutheran, Christian and Spanish American.
• Hispanic, Native American, and Anglo cultures
• Identify and locate major resources• major landforms are mountains, grand canyon , and
deserts
• It is really arid in the southwest.

The climate pulls in more tourists for the summers
because it's warm and it pulls in more retired
people.

• Detailed description of economic issues employment is growing at a moderate pace.
• climate has affected the settlement of the
region by attracted retired people because of
it's warm climate.
I don't think pollution has affected people in
the region that much.

• People have chosen to live where they have in
the region because it has a warm climate
• Goods are transported to, within and out of
region by train car and plane
• Interesting traditions or customs are customs are
similar to Wisconsin's.
• The company that uses that route would have
to find other ways to transport their products
and it could cost them a lot of money and time if
their major route was interrupted.

• Unique characteristics are deserts, canyons,
and plateaus.
• This region has impacted the US by brining in
a lot of money to the US because of people
vacationing there and spending money to visit
the grand canyon.
