• According to Mr. X’s website, he sells approximately 155 houses
annually. Mr. X’s real estate regions include South Delta and
Richmond. The average price of a property in the South Delta region
in 2007 is approximately $410,000 according the MLS Sales facts
for April 2007. The average price for a property in the Richmond
area is $440,000. Estimating that Mr. X is selling an equal amount of
properties from each region, the total value of properties Mr. X sells
annually is approximately $65 million (77.5 x 410,000 + 77.5 x
440,000) With an average commission of 3% to 3.5%, this would
create annual revenues of approximately $2 million ($37 million x
3.5%)
