Choice Work—Review of US Regions:
Explore your country, through our national
parks.
(Students must practice reading their
projects before presenting.)
•
Create an original power-point about one national park. The power point must have no less than
10 slides. Each slide must include a picture and/or video. Each slide must have original
sentences describing the picture. Include the following information: Location, when the park was
established, special landforms found in the park, what makes the park unique, things to do in the
park, and why you believe that this park should continue to be protected by law.
•
Create a brochure about one national park. Include the following information: Location, when it
was established, special landforms found in the park, what makes the park unique, things to do in
the park, and why you believe that this park should continue to be protected by law. All
information needs to be handwritten or typed. The information must be written in the student’s
words. (no cut and paste).
•
Create a tri-fold poster about one national park. Include the following information: Location, when
it was established, special landforms found in the park, what makes the park unique, things to do
in the park, and why you believe that this park should continue to be protected by law. All
information needs to be handwritten or typed. The information must be written in the student’s
words. (no cut and paste).
•
You may also do any of the 3 projects above but focus on the different National Parks within one
region. Try this if you want to learn more about many different national parks. (Bonus Points for
this one—10 extra points.
