the Oregon coastal

Place

different from another
• Landforms, climate, plants,
animals, people, language,
culture, ways humans change
their environment
• Ex. The forest is peaceful
and quiet. The farmland
helps us grow food.
Movement
• “How do people,
goods, and ideas
move from place to
place?”
• What happens in one
place often affects
another.
Interaction
• The relationship between
people and the
environment.
• When we live in an area,
we usually begin to
change it.
• Ex. We cut down trees
to make a school, we
built a dam to make a
river.
