Vegetation Map
displays the types of plants in an area
Population Map
displays the total number of persons
inhabiting a country, city, or area.
Border
the imaginary line that divides a country, state,
or political region

Germanic Languages
Languages that use the Greek alphabet that
include German, English, and Dutch. The
language we speak (English comes from the
Germanic family)!
Romance Languages
Languages that stem from Latin as their root
are called the Romance languages: Italy,
Portuguese, Italian, Romanian, French, and
Spanish. They also use the Greek alphabet.
Slavic Languages
Languages that use the Cyrillic alphabet (which
looks much different than our alphabet) include
Russian, Polish, Swedish, and many others.

Judaism
a religion and an ethnicity which predates (is older than)
Christianity and Islam. People who practice the religion
and the ethnicity are often referred to as Jews
Christianity
a religion that believes Jesus Christ was the son of God,
died on the cross for people’s sins, and rose from the dead.
This is the largest religion in the world and people who
practice Christianity are called Christians.
Islam
the fastest growing religion in the world that believes
Mohammad is God (Allah’s) prophet. People who practice
Islam are called Muslims.

Theism is a belief in a higher power involved in the world.
Monotheism means belief in one god as a higher power.
Christianity is a monotheistic religion. Polytheism is the belief in
many gods and it’s the oldest philosophy
If you believe that the world and the universe created itself, you
may be considered a naturalist or materialist.
Pantheism refers to god being all, god is everything.
