The software adopts a variety of operating navigation models with hints tools. A short-cut
tool button is used instead of the right-click of a mouse. The reduced menu levels improve
the user-friendly interface and navigational speeds.
The entire video server software is extremely flexible. GCMS not only satisfies some small
commercial surveillance needs, it can also easily migrate from a medium to large-scale
central monitoring system. The software is designed to use different functionality module
assemblies in order to satisfy the needs of different scale monitoring systems.

The system includes an improved complete user authentication system model which adopts
many of Microsoft Windows’ user management mechanisms and satisfies the needs of a
multi-user environment in medium- to large-scale systems. The system also uses the media
video server to solve issues of bandwidth bottlenecking, LAN/WAN, and multi-client visiting.
It is designed to efficiently use available bandwidth.
How a system stores the recording files is quite important. Centralized recording or off-site
recording are two available options. The software supports several types of data medias
including IDE, SATA, SCSI, fiber optics and DAS, NAS, SAN network recording solutions.
Data redundancy for specified applications is also available.

Global Command Management System Introduction

The front-end server captures the multi-video/audio signals, shows real-time preview,
compresses, stores, and transmits the data. The server also controls the PTZs;
connects external sensors, output alarms, and other devices.

The basic remote client can log on using basic remote client software or a web
browser for monitoring.
•
The professional remote client has the ability to group the front-end servers; using
centralized user management to store the remote data on a centralized server, event
logs for recordings, alarms, monitoring centers, and all other data information. The
professional remote client also has the ability to setup user rights for different
authority levels and assign rights for all front-end servers and parameter setup.

The enterprise version remote client software is suitable for enterprise level clients
who will use it to remotely manage the central monitoring center and front-end
servers setup as well as configure, monitor, and manage. All versions of the software
are based on a modulated design that plugs in easily.
