Chosen for its simplicity and features
its own webserver, secure connections over SSL,
no database required, data in plain ASCII format
Password protected, over SSL

Use of UPS/UPD (Unix Product Support, a
Fermilab product)
maintain multiple instances may products
invoke any instance, resolving dependencies
