 Components needed for Internet access:
 network interface card (NIC), often referred to in computer ads as
an Ethernet port: hardware where you plug one end of an Ethernet
cable into the notebook and the other end into a device that connects
to the Internet
 wireless interface card: allows you to connect to a network using
wireless technology
 Bluetooth: connectivity which offers the ability to connect to another
