HIS RESEARCH
With PTCL they are working on Traffic engineering solutions using MPLS. Network traffic
carries different classes of traffic. It is important to allocate proper resources for all classes
of traffic. The aim/output of this research is to achieve high acceptance rate for real time
requests without rejecting too many low priority (non real time) requests.
With Amaana they are working on a secure open source mobile payment solution that
provides the flexibility of mobile payments to users, banks and POS.
In routing they are working on novel routing solutions for cognitive radio networks.
Multiple interfaces and multiple channels in CRN make it a challenging problem to allocate
channels and achieve low latency and high throughput.
In mobile networks they are developing efficient mobility management schemes. Mobile
networks frequently change their point of attachment. Maintaining session connectivity
for all the users in a mobile network becomes a challenging research issue.

ABOUT HIS PROJECTS
Open Source Enterprise Network Security Solution
Under this project, we will research and develop an accurate
and real-time enterprise intrusion detection and prevention
solution to detect zero-day network attacks. This solution will
consist of two main components: a passive anomaly detector
and an active anomaly detector
Network-Embedded Security using In-Network Packet Marking
Under this project, we will investigate a network-embedded security framework,
in which the endpoints, the edge networks and the network core act in a
coordinated and practical manner to defeat high-rate traffic attacks. The
objective of this project is to indigenously research a state-of-the-art network
security solution in Pakistan. The proposed security solution will be tested on
academic and industrial networks and its outputs will be widely disseminated in
research and development communities throughout the world..

HER RESEARCH
Her current work is comprehensive research related to 4G communication. Her domain include purely
research based projects with standard research paper in well reputed international conference and
journals.
In wireless network, she is working on Ad-hoc (cooperative)networks. In this multiple transmit nodes
commnunicate with multiple receive nodes. To optimize the capacity of Ad-hoc channels, MIMO
concepts and techniques can be applied to multiple links between the transmit and receive node
clusters. This can be a strong research based FYPs.
Contrasted to multiple antennas in a single-user MIMO transceiver, participating nodes and their
antennas are located in a distributed manner. So, to achieve the capacity of this network, techniques to
manage distributed radio resources are essential. Implementation of strategies such as autonomous
interference cognition, node cooperation, and network coding have been suggested as solutions to
optimize wireless network capacity and are truly research based FYPs.
Currently she is working on a novel scalable video transmission strategy over multiple input multiple
output (MIMO) wireless system with time varying channel capacity. It is a great challenge to
simultaneously guarantee the QoS for video delivery and maximize the system throughput over time
varying MIMO channel. This research project need highly programmable skills.
