Case Study – Psychiatric Hospital
THE COMPANY
Staff are often left alone with patients throughout the large multi-building hospital and they needed a
way to call for assistance should a dangerous situation arise.
THE NEED
The hospital had a combination of panic alarm systems, fire alarms, and a legacy radio network. They
wanted to integrate all of these solutions to safeguard staff and reduce the complexity required to
respond to emergency events.
THE SOLUTION
Teldio’s panic button and alarm notification solution, ACS was deployed throughout the hospital. 100
MOTOTRBO radio were programmed as panic buttons, 18 wall-mounted panic buttons were installed
& 130 Bluetooth beacons were mounted at strategically placed exit points to capture location data.
Should a staff member be in danger, or a fire alarm be activated, the response team’s radios are
notified of the situation and its location which includes the floor, room number and door code.
