Only for Loneworkers
Only for Loneworkers
People who work alone (day- or nightshifts, or selfemployment) are initially on their own in the case of an
emergency.
That is why the safety of lone workers requires extra
attention.
A lone worker is someone who works out of sight or
earshot of other people.
Only for Loneworkers
My Bodyguard has developed a lone workers concept.
The concept links a request for help to a safety worker.
The request for help can be triggered manually by pressing
just one or two buttons.
However, if the user is no longer capable of doing a manual
request, for instance while being unconscious, a request for
help can also be activated automatically if insufficient
motion is detected. This concept is called "man down".
The technique

GSM Network outside buildings.
• My-Bodyguard uses the GSM network to send emergency
calls.
• It is important that at all locations outside, where
employees are working there is GSM coverage.
The technique
GSM Network indoor.
• It is also important that there is good GSM network present
inside buildings .
• If not present an offer can be made for GSM repeaters
inside buildings.
• If the loneworker is in areas where GSM coverage is not
present, in an excess of a pre-set time it will be reported as
alarms.
Central Alarm Service
There is an important role for a good functioning central alarm
service.
They are leading to ensure that the request for help with all
important information is send to the helpers in the field.
Central Alarm Service
Central Alarm Service
Reports may be transmitted in various ways to the helpers in
the field.
• Calling multiple helpers.
• First send an SMS/E-Mail and then call the helpers for
check.
• There may be a link between your alarmpost an the Central
Alarm Service as an annex (software required).
Central Alarm Service
For the central alarm service it is essential that the correct
information is send as quickly as possible to the helpers.
Outside buildings the position of the loneworkers is calculated
by the use of GPS.
For enclosed areas, within fences, addresses of standard maps
are not good to use, the right addresses should be
separately added to our database.
For the yellow shaded area is the business address
“Eeftinkstraat 4”.
When you request a position at the green arrow in Google
Maps the address returned is “De Klomp 22”, which is the
location where the red arrow is pointing.

GPS doesn’t work inside buildings.
Therefore measures must be made in the case loneworkers
are working in buildings.
There are three different ways to do this:
Central Alarm Service
1. You can use so-called Ibuttons in combination with an
Ibuttonreader. The loneworker has to report where he
works for every room with the IButton, then in case of an
emergency the location of the last IButton read will be
reported to the Central Alarm Service.
Central Alarm Service
• 2. Data is provided showing all addresses and locations
where the worker may be located in an emergency.
• This solution is widely used in e.g. the nursing staff.

3. You use beacons that automattically register in what room
the loneworker is in the case of an emergency.
Central Alarm Service
The loneworkers can send various request for help,
depending on the urgency.
The report with the highest urgency in activated by pressing
both the red and the green button.

Organizational
For a well working concept the it has to be properly
organized on a organizational level.
The support of the enduser (loneworker) is very important.
Organizational
For the correct use proper explanation is required.
Organizational
It is important the the complete concept is checked on
proper use and functioning.
A report will be send the person responcible for guiding the
people about the theme working alone.
Thank you for your attention.
