Under consideration
• VoIP pilot :
• In collaboration with Alcatel and IT/CS/CN we
will set a ~100 connections IP telephone
network.
• 2nd half of 2003
• Polycom network (fire brigade) :
• Depending on the result of discussions between
the Geneva Police and Fire Brigade, we may
have to start a study for a complete replacement
of the CERN Fire Brigade radio system based on
TETRA or TETRAPOL standards
• GPRS services :
• With the beginning of LHC installations we will
have to face new demands for GSM
