1989 a birth of .jp
– We used to use .JUNET
– 1987 birth of the Internet in Japan
– We started to play with BIND

1990 a birth of operational group
– BIND ADMIN (WIDE, TISN, JAIN)

1991 a birth of JPNIC
– When it was born, we called it JNIC


1996 Start to handle geographical domain
2000 JPRS was born
– 2002 JPRS started registry service



2001 Generic .jp started
2001 Japanese domain started
