VPN Services
• Allows Windows Domain drive mapping, access

only resources and download, SMTP email
services for outbound email
• Client currently only available for Microsoft XP
and 2000
• Will be incorporating a SSL solution in the near
future for UNIX, LINUX and Mac Users

Wireless Network
• WPI has an 802.11 a/b/g security enabled
solution
• Requires WPA with 802.1x authentication
(Enterprise WPA) and MAC address registration
• Active monitoring and containment of
unauthorized wireless networks / traffic flow
• Approximately 70% campus has wireless access
• We are also involved with wireless and
networking projects throughout campus
