The Collocation Service
Collocation
NASK customers can install their hardware at the NASK
Collocation and Hosting Centre. Collocation services are
the lease of infrastructure or installation space in NASK's
server room where customers’ equipment can be set up
and operated in guaranteed, proper working conditions.
Dedicated Hosting
NASK also offers dedicated hosting services, i.e. the lease
of NASK's own hardware (a physical server) installed at
the Collocation and Hosting Centre.
What Are the Collocation Service Benefits? (1)
 Lower Internet access costs, without having to invest in
expensive active hardware (servers or telecommunications
equipment)
 Lower expenditure on devices that sustain power supplied
to telecommunications equipment
 Lower service management software costs
 Lower costs of training and keeping personnel that
supports the organization's own wide area network
 Lower costs of employing technical personnel that
supervises hardware 24/7/365
 Lower hardware service and maintenance costs
What Are the Collocation Service Benefits? (2)
 Lower data backup and archiving costs and elimination of
expenditure on necessary hardware and software
 Ensuring optimized environmental conditions for
telecommunications and data equipment
 Ensuring physical and data security
 Ensuring data transfer rates tailored to the organization's
needs
 Enabling the transformation of investment costs into
operating costs, which leads to tax economies
