Communication Infrastructure Connectivity and Bandwidth
The bandwidth (satellite and leased line) is shared on a best-effort basis
Authorized protocols
FTP, HTTP (s), POP3/SMTP, IMAP, DNS on UDP
Downstream bit-rate (peak) 1024 kbps (phase 1)
Downstream bit-rate (minimum assigned 1) 20 kbps
Upstream bit-rate (peak)
512 kbps (phase 1)
Upstream bit-rate (minimum assigned)
10 kbps
(1) average bit rate value measured over one minute
The bit-rate corresponds to the net bit-rate available and not to the speed at which
the content is transferred.
The contention rate is 30, except Terminal to terminal videoconference
In this case, Internet connectivity is restricted to the access of the MedSKY Servers.
Rural Wings satellte value added services
that can be made available by TTSA
