Brought to you by

Hi my name is Sarah! These are my
friends! We call ourselves the
Sassy Six.
Hello, I’m Abby!
Hi, I’m Lucy!
I am Kenin!
Nice to meet you! I’m
Jada!
Hi, I am Beatrice!
Let’s go to Rome!
We can ride my
scooter!
We are
here!
I found a Travel
Brochure!
Lets take a
look!
Romans
invented
concrete!
Cool!
Roman
Architecture
is unique!
Look its the
art museum!
Lets go
inside!
As the girls roamed around the
museum, they found out many things
about Roman Art.
Roman Art
has
sculptures!
These
sculptures
are very
realistic,
unlike Greek
art.
Look at
the
mosaics
on the
wall!
Mosaics are
little pieces of
tile glued
together to
create a picture!
I have mosaics in my
house!
They are in the shower!
Lets go to the
library or as
Romans
would say “In
Bibliotheca”
Yeah! We
can learn
about
Roman
books!
The Sassy Six walked to the
Library.
The girls browsed through the
library, each picking books with
different topics.
Odes
The Odes are Roman
books.
These books contain
poetry.
The style of writing
has been used for
years
after the odes were
published.
Satire
Satire is a genre of roman
books. The genre is about
pointing out flaws and
mocking someone. Satire is
a combination of humor
and
criticism.
Greece & Rome
Rome's writings are
often based off of
greek
writings.
I want to
learn about a
Roman
philosophy!
What is a
philosophy?
A philosophy is
an idea people
believe in!
Ohhh! Lets
find an
example! I
bet the library
has a book!
Roman
Philosophy
Stoicism
Stoicism is the idea or
philosophy of self-control
Is there a
book about
Law?
Im sure
there is!
Lets take a
look!
The girls looked for books about Roman
Law.
Plebs & Patricians
These were the 2 types of
people in Ancient Rome. The
Patricians were very rich and
the Plebs were everyone
else.
The Plebs were treated very
unfairly. They were forced to
be in the war and protect
Rome.
The Plebs also had no say in
government.
The plebs fought to take
over the Roman government.
They then established The
12
Tables. The 12 Tables were
the
laws of Rome written down.
Little by little the Plebs
Gained power.
The 12 Tables inspired MANY
countries' documents.
We learned a
bunch about
Rome today!
We did! But
now, its time
to come
home!
