Mission Statement
Crossroads is committed to being at the forefront of the hospice care industry, to

that everyone can expect more.
The Crossroad Hospice brand promise:
Crossroads offers more to elevate the end-of-life experience in very unique ways.
Expect highly attentive, hands-on care. We are always there for you before, during and
after the need for palliative and hospice care.
Our mission is dedication to ultimate life. This means that we work toward a better quality
of life for the terminally ill and their family, friends, and caregivers.(CRH, 2016)
Unique Patient Care Programs
Evenmore Care Programs: developed to ensure every hospice patient receives the are they deserve...more
support, more time, more attention. Watch Program is a special level of care created to monitor a patient’s
development through multiple daily visits.
Life Journals: To provide the highest quality of life for our patients while supporting family members.
Experience has taught us there are a few things most people want at the end of life: *To be remembered * To
pass down their life experiences and beliefs * To know that their life mattered.
Veteran’s Recognition: Crossroads Hospice recognizes the sacrifices these men and women have made and
believe we owe a debt of gratitude for their security they have provided by defending our nation.
Unique Patient Care Programs
Hispanic Outreach: To meet the needs of Latino families in our communities. Bi-lingual employees are specially
trained to work with patients to develop unique care plans by incorporating cultural and other needs of the
patient and family.
Grief Recovery: It helps people “move beyond” the pain caused by loss. It is a twelve-week program led by a
Crossroads’ Grief Recovery Specialist trained and certified by the Grief Recovery® Institute.
Memorials:These services include butterfly releases, balloon releases, tree lighting ceremonies or moments of
silence. Families are invited to attend these services.

Hospice Volunteer Duties & Requirements
The most important requirement for hospice volunteering is a willingness to help. Our volunteer managers can work with you to find
the right opportunity to fit your interests or skills. Simply fill out a hospice volunteering application, and we’ll find the perfect fit.
Volunteers do not administer medications or perform any nursing duties. The following explains more about volunteer requirements
and how to volunteer for Crossroads Hospice.
What are the requirements for hospice volunteers?
Crossroads Hospice offers several types of opportunities for volunteering along with the flexibility to donate as much or as little time as
you want. Hospice volunteer duties vary for companionship, special projects, office, and bereavement. A volunteer manager can
provide you with details.

What kind of training will I receive?

create an immediate connection to the program.
How to volunteer for hospice.

Complete the initial application
Provide information about your health, physical limitations, etc.
You will need to sign consent forms.
You will be required to have a Tuberculosis (TB) test performed. This will be done free of charge.
My Experience
During my time volunteering for Crossroads
Hospice has been a great experience. The
organization has many different programs
and opportunities for people to grow and
learn more about their services.
Through my volunteering, I hope to find more
opportunities in the future to help educate
and impact others about the many aspects
of hospice service care for all people of
ages, race, and religious.
The organization allowed me to visit patients
daily to be a companion to them and do
activities with them.
The time and effort I spent is not wasted,
however, the significant memory of taking
some of your time to spend with someone
is special towards them just talking,
listening, and reading is all it takes to make
someone happy.
I have enjoy my time spending with the
elderly, in which they had made a impact in
my life. It has allow me to make a
difference in the community by just being
with them.
