24 PROHIBITIONS

25 LIMITATIONS
• Assistants, Hygienists, Therapists perform Authorized Practices only if

(a) an employer (listed agencies)

(b) a dentist

9.1 CODE OF ETHICS
• Must abide by the Code of Ethics
9.2(1) EACH MEMBER SHALL:
(a)
Abide to Act, Bylaws
(b)
Abide to limitations on license
(c)
Uphold honor, dignity, code of ethics
(d)
Fulfill obligations re charges
(e)
Itemize accounts as requested
(f)
Maintain records.. patients, practice
(g)
Provide reports.. Timely fashion
9.2(1) EACH MEMBER SHALL:
(h) Meet C.E. requirements
(i) Follow recommendations of mediation
(j) Co-operate with Q.A… 30 days
(k) Remediate as Rx by Q.A.
(l) Maintain liability insurance
(m) Comply with Part 10 Advertising
(n) Endeavor to examine.. 2 yr
9.2(1) EACH MEMBER SHALL:
(o) Validate licenses of allieds
(p) Limit allieds to authorized practices
(q) Adequately supervise allieds
(r) Adequate supplies for med emergencies
(s) Ensure presence of properly trained staff
for med emergencies
(t) Ensure sterilizer monitoring
(u) Maintain functioning AG separator
(2) NO MEMBER SHALL:
(a) charge excessive or unreasonable fees
(b) charge and not perform
(c) directly or indirectly benefit from referral
(d) Make contracts related to fees charged
except with
1) CDSS member or allied
2) A corp controlled by a member
(2) NO MEMBER SHALL:
(e) profit from sale of drugs, medical product
or biological prep’n
(f) falsify exam or Tx records
(g) falsify accounts or charges
(h) sell an account
(i)Tx in a mobile unless permission
(j) Advertise a members name after 1 yr of retirement
(k) Imply specialist unless certified
(2) NO MEMBER SHALL:
(l) Use titles other than authorized in bylaws
(m) Sign or issue false reports or statements
(n) Be convicted of an offence related to ability to practice
(o) Improperly use, Rx, dispense drugs
(p) Practice while impaired
(q) permit, counsel, assist illegal practice
(2) NO MEMBER SHALL:
(r) Misrepresent tx, remedy, device
(s) Dispense patient info without permission
(t) Use clinic, group unless more than 1
(u) Commit sexual impropriety with patient
(v) Contravene regs of health region
(w) Be disgraceful, dishonorable, unprofessional
(2) NO MEMBER SHALL:
(x) Practice when experience or judgment are impaired
(y) Hire allieds unless a regular licensed member or a faculty member
(3) NO MEMBER SHALL ENGAGE WITH A NON
MED OR DENT CORP UNLESS
