2014 physician incentives and penalties
Incentives
Two-part bonus:
$1,000: paid after MD completes EOV & MU stage 2
training
$3,000 (full-time) or $1,500 (part-time): paid after
MD achieves MU over a 3-month period in 2014 and
BWPO receives payment from CMS
Penalties
If MD has not attested to achieving stage 1 of MU by
10/1/14, Medicare reimbursements will decrease by
1% per year starting in 2015, up to 5% by 2019
