Training program
Why training?
"What I Hear, I Forget.
What I See, I Remember.
What I Do, I Understand."
- Confucius
http://optique-project.eu/
A lot of material to organise and a lot of people to please.
Optique website http://optique-project.eu/trainingprogramme/ is the main source for training related content.
Organised as a matrix with:
Roles
Modules
Contains:
Integrated tutorials focusing on the “playable” and visual
components of Optique and end-user oriented.
More specific and academic training material keeping the
Northwind/Northstream common thread.
External material (so-called resources).

Northwind tutorial
Learning how to get from basic ontology (no product type)

To a richer ontology (new vegetarian/non vegetarian concept added)
Northstream tutorial (WIP)
Focus Area:
Streams and temporal data.
Storyline:
To offer a continuum with Northwind (which is sales
oriented), the Northstream case shall illustrate a simplified
production chain for a product supplier.
An order is placed for xxx bottles of liquid.
A production machine produces the liquid.
A bottling machine is filling bottles with the liquid.
Sensors are measuring production parameters of the 2 machines
above.
Some events (warnings and start/stop) are also generated by
the machines.
Main goals
Show live stream data from the sensors.
Integrate and display live data streams with data stored in the
Northstream relational database.
Calculate, predict and visualize the progress of the production
towards the ordered quantity and deadline.
