TMD – MUSCULOSKELETAL PAIN:
1. THE TM JOINT:
a. How patients describe pain that comes from the TM joint as opposed to pain that comes from the muscles
b. Disc displacements. What is a disc displacement and how to distinguish a disc displacement
with reduction as opposed to a disc displacement without reduction
2. THE MUSCLES OF MASTICATION:
a. How to tell whether a muscle is tight and painful
b. How to tell whether the muscle is non-painful but contains trigger points that refer pain around
the head, neck, face as well as causing toothaches of non-dental origin
3. THE CERVICAL MUSCLES:
