New SalesLogix Database Integrity Checker
• Integrity Checker is basic database maintenance that can be performed
by a non-DBA
• Basically the utility works like this:
-- Runs tests that identify database issues
-- Identifies, summarizes, and counts the number of records to
be fixed
-- Allows the Admin to review the tests and SQL commands to
fix issues
-- Fixes the records
-- Saves results to file
-- Script out your customized tests with VBScript
What do the Integrity Checker Options mean?
• Display count of records requiring repair - list the number of records that
qualify for each selected test
• Display summary for records requiring repair - list the record summary for
tests that contain records that need repair
• Display results for all selected - display results for the selected tests
• Display results only for the records requiring repair - display any record in
the selected tests that needs to be repaired
• Display the SQL Statements - displays the SQL query associated with each
test under the test title in the Results window
• Save Results to file - save the information that is listed in the Results window
to a text file
SalesLogix Profiler
• Provides a database independent profiling application (similar to Microsoft's
SQL Profiler) to trace SQL and performance counters throughout the
execution path of the provider.
• Troubleshooting tool to see data flow through SLX
• Similar to Microsoft's SQL Profiler
• Users can choose to profile any of applications on their computer running
the SLX Provider (Windows Client, Web Client, etc. -- even custom
applications!).
