Why is EPR2020 Important to Johns Hopkins?
• EPR is old, difficult to extend, and retiring by Dec 2010
• Improve Patient Care – aggregate data from more
sources
• Increasing demand for ability for researchers to query
• Future possibilities – e.g. integration with HealthVault

What Data is Available in EPR2020?










Real-time data feeds for new data (currently JHH)
Backload of existing data
4 million patients
17 million visits
8.5 million radiology reports
10 million EPR documents
1.6 million outpatient medications from EPR
1.2 million problem entries from EPR
400K immunizations from EPR
259 million lab results - (lab backload under development)

EPR2020 Customer Base


EPR2020 is currently deployed to 95% of public
workstations at Johns Hopkins Hospital as well as select
private workstations
The deployment is limited to a select group of early
adopters (~ 40 users)

Qualifications Necessary for EPR2020 Positions
• Project Leader Position (currently open: Req#: 27552 )
• Demonstrated ability to develop and track a detailed project plan with projected dates and
percent complete.
• Significant experience using Microsoft Project
• Demonstrated ability to report the project(s) status.
• Demonstrated ability to understand, document, and facilitate resolution of issues.
• Demonstrated ability to assign tasks to analyst, and track to completion.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain standards.
• Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to maximize tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, Confluence, and Microsoft
Visual Studio Team System) for effective project management and communication

• SQL Server 2005/2008 including SSIS, SQL Server associated product stack
