NATIONAL STATISTICAL COORDINATION BOARD Future Directions • • • • 18 Improve the monitoring of the MDGs generation of sex, age-disaggregated statistics Formulate and improve the estimation methodology Study the possibility of formulating an index that would track the whole MDGs/goals and not only by indicators Improve the coverage, timeliness and dissemination of MDG data NATIONAL STATISTICAL COORDINATION BOARD Future Directions • • • 19 Study on the possibility of setting measurable targets on indicators with no identified targets Identify and compile appropriate alternative/proxy indicators in lieu of unavailable data series Strengthen agencies/data sources’ commitments on MDG indicators: timeliness, coverage, sustainability NATIONAL STATISTICAL COORDINATION BOARD
