of integrated assessments that help measure your college and career
readiness from now through the 12th grade.

What’s on the test?
 No essays or open-ended questions
 Three multiple-choice sections

40 minutes, 45 questions
• Writing Skills:

Identifying errors and improving grammar and usage

40 minutes, 50 questions
• Math Skills:

Questions on operations, algebra, geometry, statistics and probability

20 minutes (18 questions) with calculator

20 minutes (18 questions) without calculator

What Happens on Test Day?
Test Day: Wednesday, October 15
 When the bell rings, put all belongings except
for pencils, erasers, and calculator in your
locker
 Report to your assigned testing room (There
will be signs posted if you forget where to
report)
 Testing will occur during 1st, 2nd and 3rd period.
 After testing you will be reporting to your 4th
period class and follow the rest of your daily
schedule.

Testing Room Procedures
 You will only be allowed to have a calculator,
pencil and eraser at your desks. (no
highlighters)
 You will only be allowed to use a calculator
during the Mathematics Section 3A
 You CANNOT work on anything or read
anything if you finish a section early. You will sit
quietly until the start of the next section.
 If you leave the room the time does not stop
and you will not get extra time to finish

Testing Room Procedures
Items prohibited at any time during testing:
 Telephones or cell phones
 MP3 players/iPod
 Watch alarms
 Cameras
 Dictionaries (including electronic)
 Books/Kindles
 Papers of any kind
Calculators
Not Approved:
- Cell phone calculators
- Calculators with (typewriter-like)
keypad or paper tape
- Calculators that make noise or “talk”
- Calculators that plug in to the wall
- iPads or other tablets

Helpful Hints
 Read all directions
 Read all answer choice carefully
 Do scratch work in the test books
 Work at a steady pace
 Bubble your answers as you go (Don’t wait until
the end)

Things to Remember

 Be on time to your testing room.
 Re-schedule any appointments you may have made
for that morning
