FEIEA
Communicators
with
a vision
beyond
boundaries
What is F E I E A ?
A cross-border organisation of
employee communicators with a
50 year record of working together.
Our 12 affiliated member countries set aside
language and cultural differences to share
knowledge and improve the effectiveness of
employee communications.
Who belongs to F E I E A ?
Just as the role of the employee communicator is
evolving, so the scope of FEIEA has grown since it
began life as the Federation of European Industrial
Editors Associations.
FEIEA retains its focus on internal communication but
many members of FEIEA’s affiliate associations are
also involved in management and practice across a
broad spectrum of business communication.
Who belongs to F E I E A ?
FEIEA comprises 12 national associations with
around 4,000 members located in:
Austria Belgium Britain Denmark Germany
Hungary Ireland Italy Portugal Slovenia
Sweden and Switzerland
What does F E I E A offer?
A pan-European federation which speaks with a European
voice on internal communications, in dealings with the
European Union, business, economic, academic and
social organisations.
FEIEA provides an active network of professional support
for employee communicators. FEIEA aims to broaden
members' knowledge of corporate communication affairs
in Europe.
Who runs F E I E A ?
FEIEA has a voluntary, dedicated team of leaders
and supporters with a vision beyond boundaries
and a determination to get things done.
FEIEA is funded via a small annual per capita
charge levied on each national association.
President of
FEIEA
FEIEA presidents are customarily appointed for three
years.
The current president is Dr. Birgit Snizek of Austria.
The immediate past president (1996 - 2000) is Alan
Peaford of the UK.
The F E I E A Congress
Each Congress is hosted by a different FEIEA country,
bringing delegates together in open sessions, workshops
and company visits.
Past themes have included networking, company
structures, the role of in-house consultants, strategies,
targeted communications, cost pressures, the corporate
information gap, and employees as corporate
ambassadors.
